Install guide
Six short steps, each with a video under a minute and its transcript. The videos show the app's screens with sample data, silent, with Romanian captions; the transcripts here are in English.
The whole guide takes about 10 minutes, most of it waiting for the courier and invoicing credentials.
1. Installing and choosing a plan
Install from the Shopify App Store and stay inside the Shopify admin. The Free plan needs no card.
Video: 23 s

Transcript

- Press "Install" on the Shopify App Store. Coletly opens inside the Shopify admin on its Home page, with a four-step setup guide.
- Settings: couriers, routing rules, checkout and lockers, addresses, invoicing, returns. Everything can be changed later.
- Plan and billing: Free has 200 labels a month. Paid plans include a 7-day trial and are billed through Shopify.
- Next step: connect your courier.
2. Connecting FAN Courier
You use your own FAN Courier contract. Coletly checks the credentials on the spot and creates nothing in your account.

Transcript
- Step 2: connecting FAN Courier.
- In the guide, under "Connect a courier", choose FAN Courier and enter the API user and password from your FAN account.
- "Test and connect": Coletly only reads your pickup points and services. Credentials are stored encrypted.
- In Settings › Couriers choose the departure branch and default service. The courier pickup order is optional: send it from the app or call the courier as before.
- Next step: connect your invoicing tool.
3. Connecting SmartBill
Invoices are issued in your own SmartBill account, with your series. You choose when.
Video: 23 s

Transcript
- Step 3: connecting SmartBill.
- Settings › Invoicing: choose SmartBill (or Oblio, FGO) and enter the account e-mail and the API token from SmartBill Cloud.
- Choose the invoice series and when to issue: manually from the order, automatically when the label is created, or after the cash on delivery is collected.
- On the order you see the Invoice card: "Not issued", then series and number. A correction is always a credit note, with your confirmation.
- Next step: the first label.
4. The first label
From the "To ship" list: pick the orders, generate, get one PDF with every label.
Video: 29 s

Transcript
- Step 4: the first label.
- In "To ship" tick the orders. The Checks column shows address, weight and cash on delivery before generation.
- "Generate label": choose the pickup point and service per courier. Fix problem orders here or leave them out; the rest go.
- You get one PDF with every label, A4 or A6, sorted by courier. The order is fulfilled in Shopify.
- If a courier rejects the order you see its message on the order, with "Edit and retry" in the same place.
- Next step: cash on delivery.
5. Cash on delivery: statement and collection
Courier statements are matched to orders automatically. You see only the exceptions.
Video: 25 s

Transcript
- Step 5: cash on delivery.
- On Home you see the cash on delivery to collect: in transit, delivered and uncollected. The Ramburs page holds the statements.
- The statement is fetched from the API for FAN Courier, Cargus and DPD (from Starter) or uploaded from the file Sameday and GLS export.
- Coletly matches the lines to orders and shows only the exceptions. "Mark paid" marks the order paid in Shopify and records the collection in the invoicing tool.
- Next step: returns.
6. Returns
The buyer requests the return online, you approve it, the return label and credit note are proposed for you.
Video: 25 s

Transcript
- Step 6: returns.
- The buyer opens the returns portal from the signed link received after delivery and picks the products and the reason.
- For cash-on-delivery orders the buyer enters an IBAN for the refund. It is stored encrypted and deleted after 90 days.
- In the app you approve or reject the return. For GLS and DPD a return label is issued; on receipt, Coletly proposes the credit note and the refund.
- Done. Every other order ships the same way.
